1974 – Protective Association for the Fruit Juice Industry, SGF

In cooperation with other leading fruit beverage producers, Eckes founds the “Schutzgemeinschaft der Fruchtsaftindustrie” (Protective Association for the Fruit Juice Industry, SGF), an organization in which it continues to play an important role today. As an instrument of industry self-regulation, the SGF ensures the authenticity and quality of members’ products. Today, the organization is active world-wide and has developed a comprehensive monitoring system that begins with the fruit harvested in the country of origin and ends with the finished beverage product on the store shelf.
