in Austria began in January 2003 when I was hired as a part-time secretary to the General Manager working ten hours per week. In 2004, I assumed sole responsibility for the office of the General Director and began working longer hours. Since then, the scope of my responsibilities has gradually expanded. As assistant to our General Manager since 2006, I have been confronted with a diverse range of duties. I enjoy playing a proactive role and taking on new challenges. Through continuing training I have advanced to the position of Management Assistant, which has qualified me for responsibilities in the areas of human resources and PR. Since early 2009, my duties have also included serving as assistant to the Marketing Director.

The high degree of flexibility – with respect to working hours for mothers, for example – should not be taken for granted. I have a great deal of freedom to determine how I do my job, and am encouraged to contribute my own thoughts. That makes work truly enjoyable.
