Team Rynkeby tour is cancelled – the commitment continues

Unfortunately, our charity cycling initiative Team Rynkeby also has to bow to the current Corona situation. The annual tour to Paris will pause in 2020. But the collected donations will nevertheless benefit seriously ill children.

Normally, the more than 2,000 committed cyclists in their yellow jerseys would have made their way to Paris in early July to collect money for seriously ill children. However, the board of the Team Rynkeby Fund today unanimously decided to cancel the tour to Paris this summer. The uncertain situation due to the Corona pandemic has unfortunately left the board of Europe's largest charity cycling initiative with no other choice.

Huge amount in millions

Team Rynkeby has already been able to win more than 1,500 companies as sponsors this year. 15 percent more than last year – a new record. “Although this year this great donation will not be celebrated with the charity bike tour to Paris, we are very happy to  hand over the collected money to the organizations, “says Carl Erik Dalboge, CEO of Team Rynkeby Foundation. These include in particular institutions that care for the needs of seriously ill children, such as the children's cancer foundations of the participating European countries. In 2019, Team Rynkeby was able to raise 10.6 million euros for children's cancer research and the needs of seriously ill children. In 2020, an even larger sum of millions will be handed over. And in 2021 Team Rynkeby will start the new season as usual for the trip to Paris.
