A visit to sustainability!

Nieder-Olm, | Sustainability along the supply chain can only be achieved together. During a field tour, Eckes-Granini visits a local farmer and supplier.

Sustainability in food requires a high level of personal commitment, trustful cooperation between all partners in the production chain and constant monitoring. That is why the Eckes-Granini Group continuously promotes and demands sustainable agriculture for fruit and vegetables. "For us, sustainability is also expressed in long-term relationships with our producers and suppliers," explains Bernd Neufert, Procurement Manager Eckes-Granini Group. "We cultivate these relationships best face-to-face and visit our local partners".

A day dedicated to sustainability

What does sustainability look like in practice? What needs to be considered? And how can we, as the Eckes-Granini Group, support our suppliers and farmers even more? The field tour provides us with answers to these questions and let us learn from each other. And at this event she made the sustainable cultivation of carrots and beetroot tangible at first hand.

The fruits and vegetables are later pressed and pre-processed by the supplier before being turned into fruit juice of the customary high quality at Eckes-Granini Deutschland. The common goal: top-quality raw materials, 100% natural and sustainable for our customers and consumers. The next event of this kind is already planned - hence a visit with a lasting effect in two respects.
