Five months, 500,000 litres, uncountable commitment!

Eckes-Granini reached the donation target and handed over 500,000 litres of juice to Corona helpers in the past five months.

Under the motto "The best of fruit for a healthy and united community", the eleven European national organizations of the Eckes-Granini Group have provided employees in hospitals, food banks and nursing and care facilities with an extra portion of vitamins in recent months. Between April and August 2020, we donated a total of half a million litres of fruit juice, fruit beverages and smoothies to Corona Heroes and charitable organizations throughout Europe. The fundraising campaign was a sign of recognition and gratitude for people in systemically important professions and the countless volunteers who keep everyday life going in the midst of the Corona pandemic.

Europe-wide solidarity

All national companies supported the relief action in order to stock up the storage facilities of local non-profit organizations with drinks and to keep the staff fit with healthy refreshments for in-between times. In Germany, for example, the company donated a total of around 260,000 litres of fruit juice. In France a total of 65,000 litres and in Spain around 43,000 litres of product donations went to social institutions.

Record in Germany: Last month, further donations went to hospitals, such as the Klinikum Frankfurt Höchst (see photo), the maternity station of the Hochtaunusklinik in Bad Homburg or the "Schau nicht weg e.V." in Hamburg. In Offenbach, additional products for homeless people were hung on gift fences.
In Spain, the last large sums of donations went to food stores and soup kitchens thanks to a limited granini edition. Eckes-Granini Ibérica also worked closely with the Spanish Red Cross (see photo) and nursing homes.
