Eckes-Granini Lithuania celebrates 25th anniversary
When families in Lithuania tried Elmenhorster juice for the first time in 1992, they were also drinking the first imported juice after the country’s regained independence of 1990. Four years later, the former exotic product evolved into what is still the largest and most modern juice producer in Lithuania today. This year, Elmenhorster is celebrating not only its 25th anniversary as a traditional brand and local market leader but also its 15 year-membership in the Eckes-Granini Group.
"With our investment in Elmenhorster in 2006, we gained a strong local brand whose development makes us proud," says Tim Berger, CEO of the Eckes-Granini Group. "It continues to delight consumers with attractive product concepts. I am certain that Elmenhorster will thus continue to steadily expand its market leadership as a juice producer."
Eckes-Granini Lithuania: Most modern juice producer in the country
"Becoming part of the Eckes-Granini Group had a strong impact on our business development," Marius Gudauskas, General Manager of Eckes-Granini Lithuania, recalls. "We received a lot of know-how and support. As a result, we have become the most modern juice producer in Lithuania, with a high level of automation and excellent product quality."
Over the next 25 years, Eckes-Granini Lithuania aims to offer an even broader product portfolio in order to achieve market leadership with its brands in adjacent categories such as syrups, soft drinks and tea. Ffor now, the success of the past 25 years is being celebrated by a raffle of 25 cases of Elmenhorster juice to consumers via social media. In addition, employees at the Žiežmariai site are planting an orchard of25 cherry trees that will be expanded by one tree every year.
