SIÓ has been very grateful for the ongoing financial support by the Eckes Foundation for the project, and now both can rejoice. The prize honors initiatives that convey values such as sustainability and responsibility to a young generation. Winners hold the award for two years, increasing the prestige and value of their company.
After several rounds of selection, the members of the committee – all executives from various industries – declared the program of our Hungarian national company SIÓ-Eckes the winner. Ágnes Kovács, Managing Director of SIÓ-Eckes, was delighted: "Our heart's desire is to promote the integration of socially disadvantaged, talented children and equal opportunities, so that this year another 600 hard-working students can start the school year with new school supplies and bags," she said.
To date, the "Thank you, SIÓ!" program has equipped about 750 institutions and a total of almost 12,000 six- to ten-year-old schoolchildren in Hungary with new, back-friendly school bags full of stationery and accessories at the beginning of the school year.
