One year of Corona

Our video review of one year of Corona: how the pandemic affected us as the Eckes-Granini Group - and strengthened us at the same time.

As the leading supplier of fruit juice in Europe, we as the Eckes-Granini Group felt the various impacts of the Corona outbreak in all our eleven national subsidiaries from the very beginning. Our most important goal was to protect our employees and maintain our operations so that we could continue to supply and support our customers. After all, the crisis also hit most of them, customers in the food service and hospitality industries, quite unexpectedly. Together as a Group, we quickly turned the switch last spring: we want to act instead of react.

Together against Corona

We implemented cross-site measures at an early stage to protect everyone involved and prevent the spread of the Corona virus. Thanks to the tireless efforts of our employees, we were able to drive forward our core issues, such as sustainability. With new digital tools, we brought our new CEO Tim Berger on board in the middle of the pandemic. 
One setback for us was the cancelled Team Rynkeby tour, the largest charity bike ride for seriously ill children, which we have supported for years. However, our social commitment remained unbroken: Our national subsidiaries organized Europe-wide fundraising campaigns and aid initiatives. We showed our solidarity with our partners in the food service industry with crowdfunding campaigns and thanked the everyday heroes of the pandemic across Europe with an extra dose of vitamins. In the meantime, we can say: the pandemic has made us grow together and stronger - well prepared to face future challenges.
