hohes C in 100% r-PET

Starting mid-May, Eckes-Granini's hohes C juice will only be sold in bottles made of 100 percent recycled PET.

As Eckes-Granini Germany's first brand, hohes C will go full circle when it comes to recycled plastic. As of mid-May, the brand's 1-liter bottle will be made of 100 percent recycled plastic (r-PET) - a strategic move to produce less waste. hohes C is the first major German juice company to go to market with 100 percent r-PET bottles. In numbers, that means more than 4,000 metric tons of plastic (virgin PET) will not be produced, resulting in 8,000 tons of CO2 not emitted into the atmosphere.

Sustainability goals for 2022 

But Eckes-Granini Germany is reaching even higher: By the end of 2022 and throughout the whole company, all bottles produced will be made from 100 percent r-PET, thus saving around 9,000 tons of virgin plastic per year. The hohes C juices themselves profit from innovative technology, introduced by Eckes-Granini Germany in 2010: An inner coating of glass inside the brand-typical brown PET-bottles acts as a “vitamin vault” and protects the contents. To this day, Eckes-Granini is the only juice producer in Germany to use this innovative method.
