Eckes-Granini looks forward to a solid 2021 business year

With sales of 856 million euros, volume sales of 805 million liters and earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) of 57.2 million euros, the Eckes-Granini Group can look back on a solid business year despite a challenging business environment.

The past business year was a year full of contrasts for the Eckes-Granini Group. The second pandemic year and customer conflicts in the food retail sector in Germany and France as well as significantly higher costs for raw and packaging materials compared to the previous year presented considerable challenges. At the same time, 2021 was also the starting point of the largest transformation in the company's history, which has already enabled the first important organisational and structural course to be set. Overall, sales grew in nine out of ten countries. Eckes-Granini also achieved a good development in its international business in European countries and outside Europe.

Tim Berger, CEO of the Eckes-Granini Group, looks back on the past business year: "We have succeeded in maintaining our market leadership position despite numerous challenges and a difficult market environment, in growing locally and in driving forward decisive innovations. We have thus made a solid and motivated start to 2022. Our goals are clearly defined: In 2025, we want to generate one billion euros in net sales and achieve a market share of 15% in Europe. We were able to successfully lay the foundation for these ambitious goals in 2021 and now build on them."
