The Institut für Getränkeforschung (Beverage Research Institute) is founded in 1959 as a research and development centre. The Institute is also tasked with ensuring continuous quality control of fruit juice and fruit beverages. Institute Director Prof. Dr. Julius Koch becomes the Eckes “trademark” for fruit-juice quality and innovation in the fruit beverage segment.
